The Tatler List
The People Who Really Matter----

<
Elizabeth Alton
A frighteningly smart aristocrat turned frighteningly talented actress, London-raised Elizabeth is both an Oxbridge grad and a Bond girl. With an Oscar nomination for her terrifying turn in Gone Girl and two Oliviers to her name, it's easy to forget that she's also shown a frisky comedic side opposite Russell Brand, Simon Pegg, and the ladies of Bridesmaids. We can't, however, forget that she's in very good stead with the royals, as an old Marlborough friend of the Duchess of Cambridge and ambassador for Prince Harry's Invictus Games. Elizabeth calls Belsize Park home and can be found running in Hampstead Heath or cheering on Aston Villa. Her family gets to call her Lizzie.

Oliver Gower-Alton
It's almost worth getting into legal trouble to hire this handsome Old Harrovian lawyer, whose most famous client (that we know of) is his actress sister Elizabeth. The future 11th Baron Alton loves going to the theatre and is often seen taking his stepmother for lunch on the Strand. He lives in Primrose Hill with his wife Anne, and has three young adult children, Edmund, Patience and Richard. Good old Ollie also makes an excellent martini.

Sami Suliman
Sudani-import Sami Suliman first made headlines when she was promoted to creative director of Balmain when she was only 25. When she's not classing up husband Paul-Henri Popesco's entire existence, she spends her time squeezing the world's most famous bums into her designs. And while famous for throwing star-studded afterparties following her fashion shows, she's a rather notorious teetotaler (except when that rascal of a husband takes her out on the town). Part time fashion designer. Full time ego wrangler.

Sir Edward Blackburn
Third Baron Satterthwaite, Sir Edward knows that idle hands make light work for the devil. While the steel magnate may officially have retired from his chairman's position, he insists he will be making sure business is conducted the right way until the day they put him in the ground. Resides with his charming wife Aurelia in a sprawling Wiltshire estate to which his children long ago assigned the nickname "Brideshead," after the Evelyn Waugh novel. Not terribly fond of the outdoors, but his Irish wolfhounds do get plenty of exercise on their yearly hunting excursions. Whatever you do, don't call him Eddie.

Katelyn Quinn
The Game of Thrones darling is the girl next door. She is the daughter of noted writer/director/actor James Bridges. She got her start appearing in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince as Lavender Brown. She loves riding her bicycle, shopping the sales, and her poochon pup. She is obsessed with all things ocean-life.
|
James Bridges
Not content to write and direct some of our favourite television series, James Bridges has also dipped his toes into the world of acting. He has an OBE, is married to radio producer Gemma Bridges, loves playing with his six dogs, and has four children - Rita, Roxanne, Katelyn Quinn, and Heath. He enjoys eating Cornettos while on set, is known to play pool competitively in pubs, and secretly watches Antiques Roadshow.
|
Ida Kovač
Psychotherapist-cum-philanthropist Ida is a German we proper love. A hoot but discreet. She lives in rural Kent with her partner, Karl. A mother to three French bulldogs - Rimbaud, Descartes, and Baudelaire - she enjoys Bridge, the South of France, and has a sneaky fetish for pushing to the front of queues.
|
Helen Blackburn
The granddaughter of the third Baron Satterthwaite, swarthy Helen (named after the mythical Trojan beauty whose face launched a thousand ships) has tamed naughty rock and roll lothario Vico Rhys, with whom she travels the world. A one-time Burberry model, the impish Roedean alumnus makes her living writing music under the name Blackbird. On the rare occasion she isn't buried in a book, Helen can be seen toting spoiled French bulldog Henry Atlas around London in a basket a la Birkin. Has a positively vulgar laugh.
|
John Blackburn
Former child prodigy and jazz man, John Blackburn is more likely to be found at festivals than concert halls these days. Grandson of the third Baron Satterthwaite, he has eschewed society life in favour of pursuing his natural talents, revealing that is he very much his father's son. The gamble has paid off for John in spades as he currently has two Mercury Shortlist prizes under his belt. His middle name is Dionysos - really - which may explain his enthusiasm for a good glass of red. Once revealed that working with Steve Reich would be the ultimate accomplishment of his career.
|
Vico Rhys
With his impressive 6'3 frame, Vico, son of Oliver Watts and noted fashion photographer Millie Chisholm, is difficult to miss in a room. This presence is put to good use at the helm of his band Walking Shadows, whose fans he adores every bit as much as they do him. His reputation as a ladykiller may precede him but Vico is far from vapid - the NYU graduate holds a degree in English literature and loves nothing more than an in-depth debate about Shakespeare. Obsessed with Tarantino's True Romance, he bought his girlfriend a vintage Cadillac identical to the one in the film. Swoon.
|
Millie Chisholm
Britain's most famous faces love shooting with marvellous Millie, the charismatic former model who's made a name for herself on the other end of the lens as a prolific fashion photographer. Talented, affable and in possession of a wicked sense of humour, she never wears flats and tells the very best dinner party stories. Secretly loves a good floral print, but only if it's Lacroix, sweetie.
|
Oliver Watts
With the most impressive eyebrows in the biz, Oliver has amassed a surfeit of university degrees, television hosting roles, ex-wives and luxury cars, though he claims to collect only the latter. Brilliant value at a party and as charming as he is clever, this handsome scamp is often the last man standing on the dance floor. Watch your daughters.

Ewen Chisholm
This panel show regular with a luscious head of hair is a jolly good time both on and off screen. Always proud of the achievements of his lovely wife Millie, he spends much of his down time zipping around London on a motorcycle. Be still, our hearts!
